We are delighted to welcome Seven Telematics on board as our main sponsor for 2018. We hope you will all see the benefit of their sponsorship on the day. Thanks to Warwick Dunnett and the Seven Telematics team for helping us make the 2018 edition bigger, bolder and better.
Now your friends have no excuse! We have just added relay options for both the standard and sprint distance events. Grab your earlybird entry now for individual and relay races.
We are pleased to announce that we are now accepting entries for the 2018 Sprint & Standard Distance events. We look forward to welcoming you back to Alton Water on July 15th. Get your earlybird entry upto the end of October by clicking here.
There are three weeks to go until we welcome you to the first running of the Alton Water Triathlon. As we nearing race time we have now finalised the final routes for the bike and run legs of the race.
We intend to send out your race briefings electronically to the email you registered under around 10 days before the race.
Start times will be between 8:00am and 9:30am. Final wave and start times details will be included in the race briefing.
Details of where to find Alton Water can be found here.
After discussions with local clubs we have decided to add a sprint distance option for your enjoyment. The 750m swim will simply be a shorter sector of the full 1500m route, the cycle leg will take in one lap of the 20k course, and the 5k run will follow the 10k run route around the lake until it reaches Hyams Lane when the sprint distance competitors will turn right, and return back to their own finish area at the southern end of the reservoir dam. We are limiting this event to 150 competitors in two waves. Early bird entry available now at £40.
We are pleased to confirm that the inaugural running of the Alton Water Triathlon will take place ion the 8th July 2017. This initial running of the event will be limited to 300 competitors, being set off in four waves, so book early.
Look forward to seeing you there.
We have taken the decision to defer the first running of the Alton Water Triathlon until 2017, we hope to advise of a specific date shortly. We believe due to the late opening for entries in March that we were just not able to find a place in people's race diaries this year. We will open again for entries in September 2016, and all existing entrants will be offered a full refund or a place next year. Sorry to let you down, but we just weren't getting the number of entries to make it worth running, or a fun event for those competing.
